Devilishly Delicious Disney

We were lucky enough to visit Disneyland Paris last October and got to see the park in all its spooky delight.

Aside from hitting the rides and getting LOTS of cuddles from our favourite characters (personal highlight, meeting Jack Skellington), we got to enjoy some of their Halloween themed treats.

Just a few of the amazing Disney-themed treats at Disneyland Paris

The food in Disney is pretty unhealthy in many ways – lots of fast food and sugary treats so we had to contain our sweet tooth but did enjoy what we tried, especially the Halloween doughnuts which were filled with orange and blackcurrant jam. Sooo good!

For this year’s Women in Horror Month challenge, I thought we could channel some of that villainous into our baking. Taking inspiration from the amazing biscuits we saw in Disneyland and the decorated doughnuts on the Disney website, we channelled our inner villain, creating a homage to the Wicked Queen, Ursula, Cruella de Vil and The Queen of Hearts.

We used my trusty biscuit recipe from the BBC and Royal Icing with different food colouring. It was a little tricky as I’ve never attempted ‘proper’ icing before, and normally just slap some icing on, hoping for the best but these turned out well.

What do you think? Who’s your favourite Disney villain? Have you made any villainous treats? Let me know in the comments below!
