The theme for Day 9 of Amigumay is ‘Summer’. I had planned a fun photo shoot with my amigurumi but typical British weather had other plans so here’s one of my first dolls, based on Lilo from Lilo and Stitch, planning to chat to Pudge about changing the weather. Lilo was one of the first dolls I made in what’s become my ‘standard’ doll form and I worked to put wires in so she’s semi-poseable. I also learned a little embroidery so I could try to capture how beautiful her eyes are, rather than rely on plastic safety eyes. They took me HOURS to sew but I think the results were worth it.
