12 Days of Giftmas: Day 9 Baubles and Bows

I really like baubles. We’ve got a tradition where we try to buy a bauble during the year to remind us of special times, but now we have the Lamb, we’ve got the perfect excuse to make very special and unique baubles – by making our own!

I bought some plain baubles in the sale last year. They were a bargain with 12 for about 50p!

This was a very simple, but very messy craft as we got the glue and glitter going.

You’ve got loads of options when it comes to decorating baubles, from creating snowflakes with glue then rolling it in glitter, or doing more patches of colour like the Lamb.

These styrofoam baubles were included in a craft kit I bought the Lamb and she used multi-coloured diamantes to add some Christmas sparkle. How cute are they? I love how they catch the lights on the Christmas tree.

Possibly my favourite baubles are these we made a few years ago. As you can see, five tiny snowmen are keeping warm with their scarves during a cold winters night. They were easy to make but are loved by all those we gave them to. I painted the Lamb’s hand white, then we pressed it onto the bauble. Once it was dry I used sharpies to add the detail to the snowmen. I’m hoping to buy some larger baubles in the sale this year and we may do robin handprints next year. A truly unique gift!
